Vada Prem
 

Vada Prem is a book jacket design commissioned by Diana Carvajal. She wanted a creative but subtle way to was to ask her partner Heather Shute to marry her while they were on their trip in India in 2013. After discussing several directions we ended up with a design that combined a folded-pages technique that spelled ‘love story’, with strong visuals and a warm hue that made the design feel cohesive and mysterious. Once the book is opened there is a message on the book flap where the love is declared and the big question is asked in an indirect way as a hidden message in the text.
